OUR WHY
Have you ever wondered what makes the artists you admire sound the way they do?
What type of beats, chord progressions and melodies are they using?
We locked ourselves in the studio to study the musical DNA of the greatest artists in the game. These are the original midi ideas composed during that process. If we wanted to create similar vibes in our own productions, these are the midi patterns we would reach for every time.
HEAR IT FOR YOURSELF
Listen to some audio examples of the midi with sounds we've chosen in our DAW.
Sounds to try with this pack:
Classic synth pads from the Prophet and CS-80 🎹
Wurlitzers, Rhodes, Mellotron and the organ are essential 🎹⛪️
Subtly reverb-ed guitars in spacious arrangements 🎸
Apply slower attack sound to chords 📈
Blend reel to reel emulation effects, non-tempo-synced delays, choruses and reverbs to taste. 📼
WHAT IS A MIDI STACK?
WHY MIDI AND NOT AUDIO?
We got tired of wading through audio samples made by other producers. A producer’s job is to make dope sounds and with audio, too much of that work has already been done. Midi demands that you take creative control and develop your own style through your sound selection, effects and layering.
INNOVATE, DON'T EMULATE
It’s not about emulating. It’s about mixing it up and taking midi in multiple directions. The artist names provide you with a sense of the vibe but it is especially fun and surprising when mixing and matching midi stems from different folders and tempos.
STACKS KEEP YOU MOVING
Maximise your time in the studio and push through creative blocks with these ready made patterns. Say goodbye to decision fatigue and feel good that you're cooking with quality “ingredients". Instant inspiration once you've applied your chosen sounds to the midi.
WHAT'S INSIDE?
30 melodic stacks, 100+ individual midi patterns
Patterns from 70 - 170BPM
Chord, motif and bassline patterns in every stack
Bpm labelled but speed up or slow down to experiment
SEE A MIDI STACK IN THE DAW
The short video below is an example of a typical Frank midi stack when it's in the DAW broken down into chords, motifs and a bassline.
We've applied our own sounds for the purposes of the demonstration.
